Young love always fills me up with a soft nostalgic warmth! Nothing beats two youngsters’ commitment – loving one another like they have never loved before! Beky and Nik are both students of mine. Well Beky was my student when I first started lecturing photography, and Nik is still my student. When they asked me to shoot their wedding, I was thrilled. I did think they were joking at first, especially when the date was set for April’s fool. However, as Beky reasoned, everyone will remember their wedding date and that was it!
They got married at the civil registry in Valletta, surrounded by family. The ceremony was heart warming and they were beaming all the way! After the family photos, they popped open a bottle of prosecco which we had to drink outside the registry office. They threw rice on them, and after a short walk in the Lower Barrakka Gardens, Valletta for a few couple photos, they drove away into the distance, whilst I went back to my daily life with a smile on my heart 🙂
