CHRISTINE & NEIL
Destination Wedding Photographer, Wedding Photography / December 2, 2018One mild winter day, 2nd December to be precise, Rosalie and myself woke up in our lovely hotel room and began to prepare for our friend’s wedding. Now Rosalie had her dress all set out, whereas I was checking my gear: sd cards, batteries, lenses….Rosalie a long time friend had joined me for our mutual friend Christine’s wedding! Karen was missing but she was there in spirit, since we did not stop mentioning her! There is something extra special when friends get married. I feel the love more intensely and the smiles get wider! Rosalie helped out with the kid’s hair whilst Christine was having her make up done. I was flitting between one room and another trying to capture every tiny detail! And gosh the groom, Neil, is Scottish so the kilt was a novelty for me, since I usually shoot weddings on bright sunny days with grooms in suits!
I had goosebumps, and it wasn’t me walking down the aisle even, it was Christine! The girls walking down the aisle, the exchange of vows, and the lovely reading by Elsa were perfect together with a bagpipe player! Later on we danced to guilty pleasure songs together with Christine’s athlete friends and washed down quite a number of drinks! I kept shooting away like there was no tomorrow!
