I met Mariah through her mother whom I meet often since she is a marriage official. When I met Mariah, there was no mistake that she is her mother’s daughter since the resemblance is uncanny. She came to my studio with her twin sons who were just a few days old and her Colombian boyfriend who plays football here in Malta. Mariah is an enthusiastic girl and full of love, and Johan is her knight in shining armour – these two couldn’t have been more perfect.
The day went by in a whirlwind, Johan took his time getting ready but looked super nifty in a light beige suit. Mariah had to attend to the boys before putting on her tailor made dress – sewed lovingly by her grandmother. They got married in Marsascala, and Mariah’s mum conducted the ceremony. It was emotional and yet so innocent and sweet. We took some time out to take a few photos along Munxar Path in Marsascala at sundown.
