Rosemarie & Carl
Wedding Photography, Weddings / May 17, 2019Rosemarie, who is just a few months younger than my sister Anna grew up with my sister and I. Having such a strong bond, it is even more special when cousins get married. So when Rosemarie spoke to me about her wedding photography I really wanted to be part of it. She was concerned about me enjoying the wedding so we agreed that a second shooter would take over during reception – Matthew was a great asset as a second shooter – polite, fun and great shots!
The day started at Rosemarie, and upon my arrival everyone was super excited. My aunt Maria who used to babysit me, was feeling the excitement most of all, and thankfully my own mum was there helping out. The girls had all their make up and hair done, and my cousin Rosemarie, a teacher, was her usual organised self! After they popped a drink then it was down to business – dressing up the bridesmaids and finally the bride herself. It was also emotional, since my Uncle Franz passed away a while ago and his presence was greatly missed, however his son Michael stepped in and walked his sister up the aisle together with my aunt.
Carl, an only child was also expecting me excitedly. He is the only son so his parents were also super emotional. It is these lovely emotions that make a wedding even more powerful to shoot.
They got married at the Chapel of Our Lady of Grace in Zebbug and reception at Giardini Lambrosa, Rabat.
We danced like there was no tomorrow, and it was great seeing all the cousins and friend celebrate Rosemarie & Carl so wonderfully!
